The VSX 'Equinox' is a decorated heavy bomber frigate still in service under the Valex 1A Tactical Division which was formed at the beginning of the Vega Conflict. Based on the collider class frigates, the Equinox is one of a few modified versions of the standard template and outfitted with the experimental HSN4 'Event Horizon' tactical quantum torpedo system. The Equinox officially claims the highest number of capital ship kills for its class during the Vega Conflict due, in large part, due to the devastating effect of the HSN4 system. While the HSN4 torpedoes move slow, the Equinox's speed and nano reactive armor plating allow it to close with capital ships and deploy the weapon system with little fear of the explosive repercussions.
