Based on the Pulsar frigate hull design the Blazar pushes the limits and capabilities of the model to the fullest. The frigate is the first design to incorporate an antimatter reactor to power its advanced technologies which include 4 an advanced quantum field generator, powerful phased shields and an advanced shield capacitor system, giving it the full capability of the original design and much more. While the Blazar lacks the point defense capability offered by many frigates, it is able to lay down an impressive field of fire with its four experimental rapid fire fusion beam turrets, capable of penetrating most shield systems with ease.
