For nearly a decade the UTS Determination was the Terran's Vega Sector flagship and, indeed, it would likely still be today if it weren't for the unfortunate circumstances surrounding the asteroid belts at Prathixs 6. During a routine deployment the Determination was on a strategic support mission when one of its quantum arrestors failed, briefly, immediately displacing the ship several kilometers in the blink of an eye, slamming it into a large asteroid. But, what's impressive, is not only did the Determination survive the catastrophe, it's engineering crews and capability restored and repaired the vast bulk of the damage even before rapid response fleets made it to the location to assist! As an upgraded version of the, already impressive, Singularity class carriers, the Determination has been outfitted with several enhanced batteries of point defense, a quantum generator module and an impressive electronics suite giving it superb levels of capability and resilience in the dark void. Additionally, the Singularity is the only ship to have the X-2-E Experimental Starfighters on board, an active prototype upgrade to the existing X2 series equipped with enhanced weapons and an experimental fighter shield system.
