The G66 'Griffin' is a heavy assault destroyer built and deployed in mass by the Kathika Imperium during and after the Vega Conflict. The Griffin a true 'ship of the line' equipped with three heavy ionized blaster batteries, two rapid fire point defense batteries and formidable armor and shields. Used regularly in shock fleets, the Griffin warships are rarely seen destroyed or disabled, in large part, because of their reinforced armor and automated damage control modules. What the Griffin lacks in speed in maneuverability, it certainly makes up for in durability and firepower.
