The Kylaxian Rim Runner is the de facto solution in convoy and trade route privateer efforts. When the Kylaxian ship yards went online, they focused on the smaller designs initially but this caused a surge in organized pirate efforts with heavier ships and templates. As a result the Rim Runner was designed and deployed as a heavy escort ship with a terrifying armament and speed. Much like many Kylaxian designs, the Rim Runner also boasts robust support and electronics warfare interfaces and a compliment of support drones, giving it the capability to provide repair and maintenance assistance to its assigned convoys and fleets.
